  • Holding Runners on 1st

This may be a simple question to answer, but is there a way to NOT hold a runner on first?

For example, late in the game, you are up big and a slow guy like David Ortiz is on 1st.

A common thing to do is for the 1st baseman to play a normal defensive position and not hold the runner but I don't recall seeing anything for that in the defensive shift options.

Did you hit down on dpad for defensive options and then triangle for batter and/or lineup options?

Pause the game and go to the defensive adjustments.
