    Rockies go home with 2-0 lead

    Timing is key

    The Rockies first was Carlos Correa's lead off single in the top of the seventh inning. Yoenis Cespedes walked and Evan Longoria grounded out to the catcher, advancing the runners to second and third. Brandon Belt was intentionally walked and Wilson Ramos came through with a 2-RBI single up the middle to give the Rockies a 2-0 lead.

        Oakland takes game 1

        Fast start

        Jose Altuve beat out an infield single to start the game, moved up to second on a walk and barely scored on a single to left from Joey Votto to give the A's a first inning 1-0 lead. Nelson Cruz doubled to give the A's a 2-0 lead.

        AJ Pollock
        AJ Pollock hit a lead off home run in the fourth inning to cut the A's lead down to 2-1.

        Some insurance
        Adrian Beltre and Adam Jones hit back-to-back doubles in the ninth to give the A's a 3-1 lead.

            It was a bullpen day

            Kris Bryant starts things off
            Kris Bryant gave the Phils a 1-0 lead with a no-doubt home run with two outs in the first.

            It gets through Crawford's legs
            Phillie's shortstop Brandon Crawford let Jose Bautista's groundball go through his legs and Paul Goldschmidt was able to score to tie the game.

            Freddie Freeman hits a bomb
            Freddie Freeman cleared the left field bleacher in the top of the third. The three-run home run gave the Phillies a 4-1 lead. David Peralta followed that with a home run to make the lead 5-1.

            Denard Span joins the action
            Denard Span hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth to put the Marlins within two runs.

            Salvador Perez doubles
            Salvador Perez' RBI double gave the Phils a 6-3 lead.

            Jason Kipnis makes thing close
            Jason Kipnis two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth made it a 6-5 ball game.

            Phillies give it away
            All of this happened with two out in the bottom of the sixth. Span walked. Span stole 2nd. Wieters walked. Calhoun walked. Segura hits a 2-RBI single to right to give the Marlins a 7-6 lead.

            Brandon Crawford makes up for the blunder
            Brandon Crawford hit a leadoff home run in the top of the eighth to tie the game for the Phillies.

            Jose Bautista walks it off
            Jose Bautista homered with one out in the tenth to give the Marlins an 8-7 win.
