  • Dev Journal: New Throwback Uniforms

EXCLUSIVE! Here's a quick look at Throwbacks Uniforms featured in this year's game.

MLB The Show has always featured a selection of uniforms for our fans to play in, from current uniforms to alternate uniforms to throwback uniforms, and this year we added new designs into the mix. Each team will have 2 throwback uniform options, with OVER 30 new to MLB 13 The Show. Now enjoy some uniforms that date back to the early 1900’s, or uniforms that were used before a team relocated. Whatever teams you are a fan of, we have uniforms that represent your team through the years.

Atlanta Braves using their 1972 uniforms vs the Philadelphia Phillies using their 1926 unforms:

Toronto BlueJays using their 1977 uniforms vs. Boston RedSox using their 1908 uniforms:

Cincinnati using their 1934 uniforms vs. Washington Nationals using their 1969 ‘Senators’ uniforms:

Spring training is only a few weeks away and Baseball is Back! Until then, I hope you enjoyed the screenshots of Throwback Uniforms featured in MLB 13 The Show.

LOVE the Braves throwback! Thank you!

Also, I noticed the Astros are gonna have their jerseys they wear for weekend games. Are the Braves gonna have their Saturday/Sunday jerseys as well? If so, this just keeps getting better.

THANK GOD! I love this game and this franchise, it's practically the only game I play anymore, but the throwback jerseys have been such a mess for so many years. Glad they're fixing it up. Now if we could get some Broklyn Dodgers & NY Giants jerseys that'd be awesome. Sucks when I play with the Giants at the Polo Grounds & they're wearing SF Giants jerseys

                Jays Throwbacks

Hey, I noticed there are still buttons on the jersey! I'm sure this will also apply to the O's, Royals, A's etc.. with their throwback pullover jerseys, but is there any way to remove those, or are they a constant part of the jersey model?

I wonder what player that is for the Braves in that still. Likely B.J. Upton since the number is 2.

                            Braves Helmets are Wrong

Braves should have a white panel on that throwback helmet, and the socks should be white with blue stirrups. The feathers on the sleeves should be a bit larger, and the stripe connecting the feather should be a bit thicker:

                            vs.

Second on the Braves retro helmet needing the white front panel and bill. Also, for the Reds, they need to get rid of the the white wishbone "C" with Mr. Redlegs that had been used for the retro batting helmets for several years. The regular solid wishbone "C" needs to be in it.
