I'm getting aggravated now. Seems no matter what I do I just don't get hits. No matter what the difficulty, or the guess pitch method, when I do get a hit it's always DIRECTLY at an infield or a line drive straight to an outfielder. I just don't know where I'm going wrong. And it's not like I'm using a bad team with bad hitters. I'm using the Yankees.
Even when I guess a pitch correctly, whether I'm using default, 1/6, or 1/4, and time the hit right it's the same old thing. Straight to an infielder or outfielder. Try and pull the ball left or right, try and get some elevation on it, same thing, again. And when I am lucky enough to get a hit it's 95% of the time the only **** hit I get in the inning. I think I've actually batted in a run ONCE. The rest of my RBI's have come from home runs and they weren't home runs I was actually attempting to hit. Admittedly I haven't played the game since The Show 09 but I never had this trouble getting hits in 09. It's driving me mad. What's the deal? *for the record I'm using zone batting. Tried the timing batting but I don't like that. Too basic. And even there it was the same thing happening. Last edited by sViggy; 06-21-2012 at 08:02 AM. |

Welcome sViggy:
Just to point out there are topics that should steer you in the right direction, to find out your answer simply scroll down a few posts or scroll through a couple of pages or you can use our TSN search feature. I'm sure there are very knowledgeable members that already covered this area all you got a do is put forth a little bit of effort on your part. Also don't forget to use MLB12 Batter's practice and Free COTW.. These 2 modes should also be helpful to you. |

This will make for less direct hits and more bloopers & scwibbers between fielders. |

Yeah, hi btw. I'll give the forums a search then. I didn't bother before because I thought someone might just throw up some quick nugget of info or something and forum search functions generally tend to be useless and throw up everything but what you asked for.
As for the sliders, well, I've turned the pitch speed down one notch and human solid hits and human timing both up one notch. I'll try knocking the solid hits and timing back down to default. I do not want the Orioles to sweep me 4 and 0. Not had a good start to the franchise at all really. |

Give yourself room to grow, and make mistakes. Go an entire nine innings without a hit, but learn something from it each time. And don't be afraid to try new methods, or hitting interfaces or difficulties. |

Dialing it down will increase your ability to hit bloopers in front of fielders, forcing them to make a play. |
