Default Calling time out during an AB

In MLB 11 I used to press D-down to call time once in a while and my batter would step back, adjust himself, and then get back in batting stance. But when I press it this year, he calls time but then it skips instantly right back to the AB without waiting at all.

Was the animation removed? Or am I missing something here, and there's a way to get him to back up and adjust like he did in 11?

Sometimes I need a break or a drink or something before I want to take the next pitch, but is that now impossible to do without just pausing the game? It's not really a huge deal at all, but I used it a lot before I hit in 11, so if there's a way to turn it back on I'd love to know!

I've noticed that to. I think they took that animation out. I just pause the game now when i need to.

LMAO don't let the pressure get to you just get on with it! The worst thing that can happen is you will have to walk back to the dugout! The walk isn't that far!

Heh, I actually enjoyed it more for the realism. Something just felt right about calling time out and seeing your batter adjust while the game kept going, it's something I figured they'd improve upon instead of removing. Not sure why it'd be taken out, unless no one ever figured to use it even though they do it all the time in real life...

Oh well, pause screen it is.

It can be done....I always use pause, however a few days ago by accident I called time out using the D pad....can't remember if I hit up or down...I will try it again and if I figure it out I will post about it lol

Press down on the d-pad to put your hand up and call time (game does not pause), press up to get to a Quick Menu (game pauses).
