hello everyone, I have been reading some threads over on the other site about this issue this year and i am a avid crack addict to this feature. With out it i simply become a blindfolded wood stick swinging kid at a b day party trying to hit a Pinata.
I have heard that this year more than ever using GP (unless all user batting sliders are maxed out) is a 1000% handicap to the user. I have to admit i have experienced this and the frustration level is ..... well there is no word for it. I have done a lot of every single batting practice challenge there is and after i do them i go in to play a game and become a swing at everything hitter. is there a way to wean myself off of it so that this game is fun and playable again or am I forever lost and have to go back to 07/08 to play this game and lose out on everything this game is? |

Off!
I don't like the additional button pressing and it is detrimental to the immersion in the game, imho. I do guess pitch type and location without using the GP feature, of course - I'm too old and slow to be able to move the PCI after the ball is pitched... __________________

When batting - by pressing R2 and the left stick in a certain direction, you guess that the pitch will come in that area. While pressing R2, you can also press the button corresponding with the pitch you believe the pitcher will throw. If you guess correctly, you'll get a bonus to hit.

I do not GP. In answer to your problem of swing at everything, try turning down slider for pitch speed. This will make the pitch appear to come at you a bit slower, allowing you time to determine if you want to swing or not. Also, practice, practice, practice.

i had that problem when i first started playing this game back in '07 in '09 i decided i wont use it anymore, and struggled a lot. by '10 i was a lot better. i had everythin working by '11, then came the show '12 that almost make me fall into the gp feature again, because at first it was really really hard to hit in this game. i just used the practice mode a lot, specially the pitch recognizion training. you would struggle at first but with the time you would be thankful that you got off the gp. |
