I noticed this year when I watch real baseball that some players are wearing a new helmet that is smooth like the old style but it has slots on the top. I was wondering if it was planned to have those helmets in MLB13?

I have seen a couple of rangers wear them, like Ian Kinsler, and Josh Hamilton.

Red Sox (Ellsbury and Pedroia), Blue Jays, Indians, that is the only ones I can think for the moment although I do know there are others. They have 2 slots from front to back on top on both sides. I think it is vents.

If it helps, the Yankees and Red Sox are playing Tues thru Thurs Sept 11-13. Maybe you get a picture then? Watch for Ellsbury and Pedroia.

David Wright wears one as well.

It's like one of the old-school helmets. Smooth and round but with airslots in it. Its definatly not like those Great Gazoo helmets, the S100's.

They are already in the game. Its the helmet that all the minor leaguers wear and you have the option of putting them on MLB players too. They look a little more gazoo like in game than in real life though.

the ones I am refering to are not the S100 in the minors. If you saw these helmets IRL you would know that. I am familiar with the S100's because I go to AA games near where I live. These are different and are new this year in the majors ONLY.

if you are those are the s100 pro comp. the ones in the game just look like a regular s100 with one ear flap. the pro comp looks more streamlined and visually appealing. Hopefully they get the correct rendering for next years game because the pro comp will be the only helmet allowed by the MLB starting in 2013.
