a mound visit would increase the confidense but just a little bit. strike outs or simply getting outs increase the confidense more than the mound visit.

i use that option to speed up the warming of the pitchers in the bullpen.

But be careful, I have noticed that sometimes it can cause the pitcher to lose confidence.
