Who on the dev team programmed the outfield depth logic? It seems like every time I check my outfield depth that its devoid of all common baseball sense.
OFs dont play deep or shallow with no one on base, why is that defaulted in the game. They also dont play shallow just because someone is on 3rd, that makes no sense. another glaring one was when I was pitching to david ortiz. the programming got the shift right, but had the OF shallow. come on now, thats just ridiculous. The OF needs to be defaulted to "normal" at all times and let US decide when do move them deep or shallow. and why in the world when I have a left handed power hitter up and he singles to right the RF is playing shallow, yet when I go look at the replay to see his position before the pitch he is positioned in the normal spot he should be? whats going on here? thank god that devs actually added the option to let us chance the infiel/outfield position alignment.
btw, the shift on ortiz is in the game just like it is in real life, so nothing ridiculous here. |

Its not the shift I was talking about, I know that part is right, its that the OF's were playing their position at "shallow" when ortiz is up OF's will always play "normal" or "deep" esp when hes up with no one on and the shift on.
