I finally uploaded video of my home run in question. Sorry for the sloppy camera movement. BTW.. my video is blurry... do I need to change settings to have replay in high def? http://youtu.be/vuTc5WjRlmg

yeah i watched the video....looks to me like it deflects off the foul pole (1:19 mark of video) although i could be wrong.....that could be the only reason for it being called a HR......
on a side note.. weird play none the less..... |

If you look at the ruling I posted, this should be a HR as the ball clearly traveled more than 250 ft before initial contact.

Deflecting off the fielder and out of play should be a ground-rule double, not a hr, I think you got robbed man.

the only reason i can think of for the part about 250 ft would be a rocket of a line drive to 1st or 3rd and bouncing off the player into the stands.... |

No the ball didn't go off the foul pole. I tilted up the camera angle to show the ball in front of the pole I thought? Not sure, but usually on contact with the foul pole the ball is redirected which doesn't happen here. HR or ground double is moot after the point, but it was the wierdest thing I've had happen while playing any of the games for sure.

I watched the video again.. I tilted up the camera angle a lil in this video... while playing the game and watching the replay I zoomed out to see if the ball hit the foul pole and it didn't. Can't see it as clearly in this video though.

I am quite familiar with Fenway Park and will tell you that what this thread is about is a ground rule double. The ball hit the wall to the left of the centerfield yellow line and careened into the seats to the right near the camera. That would constitute a double.
