Default What's with the terrible umpiring in the Show 13?

I hardly ever get my balls that I place right on the paint called strikes. So frustrating. I make some great pitches and the game refuses to call them strikes. Does anyone else notice this? I don't remember it being like this in the Show 12, infact, I think it may have been a little generous.

I'm having no problems with the umps this year. They have even called some pitches that missed by alot, strikes. So I'm the opposite of you, last year the umps hated me.

Turn variable ump OFF. I really don't have time to study each umps idiosyncrasies.

As Jim suggested, turn the VARIABLE UMP OPTION TO "OFF". This will make the strike zone be the same for every umpire.

Either that or start taking notes of the various umpires and how they call balls and strikes. Its amazing how the umpires keep their same strike zone game to game, with little to no changes.

The thing is, on variable...every umps zone is pretty much the same.

I disagree. I have umps that give the high strike while others won't. Some are hitters umps while others are pitchers umpires.

You are absolutely right. Not to mention the Greg Maddux pitches 6" off the plate called strikes.

And I think therein lies the hitting problems for a lot of gamers.

Agreed.

You have to adapt to the zone being called, both hitting and pitching.
