Played 6 innings of a show17 game before the other person quit. Can definitely say it was a more enjoyable experience. Pitches went where you put them, no wack fielding, hitting was rewarding, base runners could actually change directions.

Overall just so much more rewarding of user inputs and refreshing to actually be able to tell who was playing better and deserved the win. It’s sad cause this years content is A+, but the game plays no where close to what it once was.

I’m done with 20! At least until i get that baseball itch again.

17 was the last good one. Now it’s a slot machine with pine tar

*17 before that "just late" patch towards the end of the year

Just late was the entire year in 17, not just towards the end

Say it with me everyone...! “Just late be great!”

Did 17 have ball physics? I forget.. 16 didn't

SDS

I think that started in 18 when they “revamped” the hitting engine (added tons of RNG).

It did, the topspin was an issue with the 1 handed swings. Still I'd take that game over 18, 19 and 20 in a heartbeat.

SDS

17 was the game where Corey Seager was a top 5 card, right?

Yes, all because of that gorgeous 2 handed compact swing.

I vividly remember it was one of the final patches that slightly nerfed "good" timing in favor of just late. There was also an uptick in jammed hits
