I am hoping that this year you will actually have to earn being called up. In 19, I was a 15th round pick that was called up directly from AA to the show and made the #3 hitter in the line up. I was a 61 overall player who was only hitting .315 with 10 homers so it's not like I was tearing up the AA league. There is no way some AA player who was a 15th round player at the age of 19 or 20 is going to be spring boarded into the majors. It's just not realistic at all.
Is this the year that RTTS isn't a super fast rush to the majors? Will we actually have to earn our spot? Is the game just destined to call me up regardless of if I belong in the majors or not? A .315 hitter in AA is not a .315 hitter in the majors. If I was a top 3 pick or the top prospect in baseball, yeah I could see the rush to move up but not a 15th rounder.
I hope the devs can shed some light on this as they have always ignored the questions that people have asked. Maybe a slider on how quickly you have to move up? I would like to have some kind of realistic career and if it takes 1 full year in AA and one in AAA, I would be fine with that. I'm sure most people want to just rush and move up to the majors but I would prefer realism.
