This is a mission in the new showdown. I hit a perfect/perfect liner with my lead off hitter, and in classic showdown fashion Luis Robert makes a spectacular diving catch for the out. Whatever, next guy up. Right? Well apparently not, mission failed after one batter. Okay.
bunting sounds

It's just that I expected to have 3 at bats, because it said 1 inning. Instead I only got 1 plate appearance.

I have ran into this with other showdowns where it says 3 innings but it was really only 2 innings. If my 1st batter of the 3rd inning gets out it ended the showdown
Thanks cause that is good to know

Very weird. I just ran into this one. Trea Turner, thrown out by an eyelash and.... done. I just sat here waiting for another at-bat.
Ya it's messed up. It says one inning but they clearly made a mistake and it ends after 1 AB.
Yeah. This really threw me off. I would of put Bryce Harper batting lead-off if I knew it was only one at-bat. Instead I lined out to left with Carew and was left wondering what happened.
Yah that one threw me off too, I figured I'd try bunting with my first guy and swing away after that. Bunted into an out-mission failed. I'm not even mad that its only 1 at bat I just wish they made it more clear on the mission screen.
I hit Harper first and got a HR, so I didn't even notice that, got lucky. One of my friends later in the evening had the same issue as you. I read it as 1 inning like everyone else. But, no one is perfect, they'll get it fixed.
