Should i buy greg maddux? How is he?
Depends on what your starting rotation looks like. Maddux is 2-0 for me in RS but he isn't going to overpower anyone.

one of the greatest pitchers of all time, unfortunately you need a pitcher with heat if you dont have it everyone sits on slow stuff which is all maddux has and that annhilates you with maddux. you HAVE to have a pitcher with a killer fastball in a video game to keep players off balance, maddux you know to just be slow. i started playing in june 2020 so what do i really know, thats my observation

Yes yu darvish isn't that good. I want an upgrade...should I buy maddox? If not then who should I replace yu darvish with?
I think Maddux would be a big upgrade over Darvish. Orel is another option you might want to consider. Also, if you're looking for a guy that throws harder Wood is another good option.
no, you have to have a pitcher that can throw heat a time or 2 in this game. if not everyone is sitting/expecting slow and with maddux thats all u get so u will be lucky to make it 5 innings with hi. if the game played anything close to real life a player could sit slow all day and still miss or barely hit cause mad dog's movement was that good.
john smoltz, aj burnett- smoltz has the fastball , im a noob so take my suggestions with a grain of salt though i m a noob maddux is extremly disappointing- he won 355 games in his career and pitchs like trash compared to much less accomplished pitchers in this game.
if you like "usering" someone being totally disrespected grab him 355 wins in his career and this game makes him hittable like a chump.
the game programmers made him bad, if you like being raped get him
Maddox is really good. his control is excellent. He is much better beyond all Star. The PCI on all Star no matter who the picture is is huge and makes it easy for the batter. Is curveball in the dirt is so hard for batters to lay off. And the sinker induces a lot of ground balls. I recommend him
Smoltz throws around 100mph once you prestige him.

I found Smoltz easy to pick up. I like Palmer more, and have had good success with him online.
Oswalt is a better version of Darvish in my opinion
Maddox is great with Analog. But you have to know how to pitch.
Excellent control and movement, if you are a good overall pitcher Maddux will be great for you, but if you are the type that relies on overpowering hitters with heat then choose another option
