One Major Flaw With Gameplay

I usually write huge walls of text, with long, detailed explanations. I’m going to try and explain this simply.

When you give up 8 runs on 10 hits in 3 innings (on good swings, fwiw, he was squaring up), only for your perfect/perfects with Prestige Trout not even reach the track, it’s little wonder so many people feel the game is scripted and decides the winner regardless of input.

How am I supposed to counter a situation in a game where both my opponent and I are having equally good input on the hitting side, yet only my opponent is being rewarded? It’s not possible to succeed in this scenario.

Just curious: How did the rest of the game play out? Did you stick it out till the end? Whenever I get down big, just for the heck of it, I keep playing just to see what happens. And usually, the game allows me to catch up. It really is like Mario Kart. I remember one game recently where I went down 9-1, and I kept playing and I ended up losing 10-9 in extras. More often than not, I’ll be going into the 8th or 9th inning with the exact amount of hits and runs as my opponent. But I understand where you’re coming from. It’s just a giant [censored] shoot.

Nope I rage quit. I couldn’t take any more. Wasn’t even that I was down by a lot or felt like I was going to lose. My initial reaction was okay he’s a good hitter, I’d better try harder here. But after my good swings were line outs followed by a perfect/perfect fly out with Trout, I felt as though I was wasting my time because this game was just not going to allow me to succeed no matter what I did. He was getting home run after home run on 14, 15 and P contact results, which as I said is fine. But I can’t do any more than match that myself.

So you are saying the comeback logic would not have worked in your favor had you have finished the game?

It might well have, I’ve said many times I don’t believe in ComebackLogic and game scripting, although obviously there are forms of RNG. I’ve even got myself banned for arguing the point with people. This gameplay year is just something else though. This year, I could probably believe anything. Comeback logic would be one of the easier arguments to concede.

DDA my guy

I just played a game where I was up 7-1 by like the third inning. And the guy I played didn’t quit. He ended up winning on a homerun in the 9th. See, anything is possible. Also, I really hate this game.

I think alot of it might have to do with the dynamic difficulty levels. For example someone who isnt as far along on the XP level will get better results that someone who is already on the prestige level. I started late(july 4th) and at the beginning i was crushing anything and everything that crossed the plate. Every perfect/perfect was a HR. Now that Im almost thru Gold, its not happening as much and if I want a HR I better use the power swing. Thats my thoughts anyways
