Does HR/9 have an effect?

Does anyone know? I know they tried it last year and got rid of it, but is it back? It doesn’t seem like it, and personally I think it’s a way better game if it does have an impact. Last year I think it was really good before they got rid of it.

thats pure SDS logic right there, the one mode that needs /9's to count they don't, but hitting stats are in full effect. Way to keep a nice competitive balance SDS, I swear some days I wonder who makes these decisions and how they ever got into the position to make them.

Why would you want HR/9 to count? You do realize it artificially deflated exit velocities right? It added way more RNG

it doesn't need to be as OP as it was last year, but they need to find a balance, if you're not going to give us control of our pitches than you have to give us a break somewhere. You can't just have hitting stats matter and pitching stats mean f#$% all.

Ok, but the answer isn't deflating exit velos. We are already seeing exit velos under the pitch speed, HR/9 would magnify that issue by 1000.

thats because of SDS logic, we asked for pitch control so they nerfed hitting, all I'm saying is there has to be a balance somewhere, making pitching input matter would solve a lot of these problems, no one asked them to change hitting, they asked for their change up, or high and away fastball not to float to the centre of the plate when they timed their release perfectly. The geniuses at SDS decided that instead of fixing that, we will just mess with hitting...and now you have exit velos below pitch speed and good/good going for outs while be late be great is back.

Your ranting incoherently now.
Your saying SDS should put in more RNG by bringing back HR/9? You want that balance to be RNG? Get a grip, there are plenty of issues with the game, HR/9 is not one of them.

Then what was up with all this? "thats pure SDS logic right there", which you said in referring to HR/9 not being a stat in online play. Which means you are saying it should, that there should be more RNG.

Look, I get criticizing the game, but I think your letting your annoyance get ahead of you, saying things that don't make sense in context.

IT SHOULD BE if you're input on pitches doesn't matter, why should I be forced into throwing a hanger that gets taken 500 ft. everytime?. If you're going to force me to throw a hanger every 8-10 pitches than why shouldn't you give me a break by making hr/9 matter. That is my solution until they clue in that they need to increase pitch control and actually make pitcher input matter.

Fix pitching and you won't need the hr/9 stat to matter, but leave it as it is and it should factor in somewhat, thats my solution, revert back to launch hitting and make hr/9 matter if you're not going to fix pitch control.

They took out HR/9, but left the confidence effect in, then wonder why people were mashing the ball.

Then instead of removing confidence RNG, they nerfed hitting instead. So now we have bad pitching and harder hitting, fun for everyone!
