The person who ate the bat in Wuhan makes better decisions than the moment design team.
I make my home nice and hospitable. You will get to play in a minor league park, in the evening, nice moderate temperature. The host is usually 2-3 drinks in so already slow reflexes are powered with liquid confidence, a not winning combination. You would be missing all of these benefits by simply quitting.
Downing some St George Gin, a small mix of meds, and pitching all over the zone. Is this curveball going at your head, your feet, middle of the zone, you don’t know, I don’t either!
I’m 25-15 in the event so far so not changing anything.
So my son and his older son play in the same age bracket on different travel ball teams. He is super low key and genuinely nice. So every year when I get his card it messes with me because I think if I see him and I pitch poorly with his card, I will want to apologize. It would probably go like, "Hey Chris, so I was in an All Star level game and I tried to go high fastball, low slider, but I mysteriously hung the slider and it got blasted out of Shippet Stadium, next thing you know DJ Air Horn sounds three times and I lose". Given now nice he is, I am guessing he would tell me that I will simply, "gittem next time slugger".
Not sure that story helps you value the card but if you buy him and suck, he would not be insulted.
1- Rookie Chris Sale
2- White Sox Chris Sale
3- Red Sox Chris Sale
4- Tommy John Chris Sale - East coast buyers will be intoxicated by this time and purchase.
I would also recommend a “slump buster”. Do you have a boatload of alcohol in your house and a country bar near you? I know you will tell me about the quarantine but this is exactly the time you will find her. You take one for the universe and boom, hitting is back baby! If not, you have a new friend and that is always nice.
Trevor Bauer, based on his twitter feed, he should have 1000 power.
Instead of you having Elon Musk money we should see if he would make a baseball game. I mean the dude figured out how to land rockets on their own and cars that drive themselves while (mostly) not hitting things. He could probably hack out a hitting engine in a few hours.
I work at a hospital. I would much rather watch digital players not catch fly balls, Jackie Robinson fail to hit anything more than a weak fly ball, or my pitcher float random pitches directly over the middle of the plate than most anything I see at work. All about perspective.
At least it’s not Carole Baskin.
X is the answer. My man smacked the wall 4 times. Anything inside was an easy homer the other 403 attempts as well.
I see this is our support group thread. Cubs should move to Shippet Stadium. I'll use Happ and Darvish. Any other Cub in my lineup at this point in the season just makes me grumble and say irrational things.
His name is Evil after all. Probably typed that on his throne of kittens glued together.
I worked with a gentleman named Bill who used, “gotta see a man about a horse”. I never understood until walking into the bathroom one day and noticing Bill waging war with our plumbing. I was not the only one who heard him profess his passion of horses. When Bill retired, our secretary wrote on his good bye card, “enjoy your time with the horses you were so fond of”.
I am enjoying it actually but am in the minority. It has an extremely rough skill gap this year. I hit three "green" shots to start a game last night on myteam and the other guy quit in the first quarter. Just have the expectation that it will be a challenge. I'm also a fan of conquest extreme, married, and have kids. Punishment seems to be my thing.
If you want some entertainment, head over to reddit on the latest release of 2k21. It seems they may have overlooked that shooting a basketball into the basket higher than 20% of the time would make the game more appealing.
Coming from someone who has had no luck with any catcher, I hit in the .400s with him in roughly 100 at bats. I got him in one of the random headliner flash packs and figured I would give him a try.
I sometimes bat him 9th because I have better luck with my pitcher. No idea what is off but hitting below .200. Use him for D only.
