I finished the moments and inserted a lineup that had all the guys, got some hits, but the Mission for the 9th inning program that says to get hits with Postseason cards didn't count the hits? Is this an oversite?

Yes most likely is an oversight. They will probably address when one of the streamers tell them.

Wonder how many we will see by end of December.

Kevin brown prime card or sig card would be too good in this years game. He would be kluber on steroids as his movement was unhittable for 4 years. I am a braves fan and he should have won the cy young in 96 but smoltz got it based on his team being good and his rep. Brown was the best pitcher that year. He was just as good in 97 and won a world series with marlins( stupid eric greg) but livan hernadez and al leiter get way more credit for it. He was a beast.

I have been watching the market closely and of course Gold and under prices are spiking for obvious reasons.

I am wondering will we see a market crash on diamond cards that are 90 and above as the go above the exchange limit. What is the view of this forum in this?

To me I think there is a chance as I think there will be HL packs given away in the stage 3 path for example the Jays will have the HL pack that included Paul Molitor in their reward path which would lead to a reduction in his price.

Either super hyped for today should be a fun night of grinding to get the new Blue Jays legends!

    Cheers everyone

I do think diamonds will crash today. I however think golds and silvers will sky rocket. I do hope you are correct about the headliner but i just think they will give some more ta packs and GIAH packs.

Lol Musial is the best. I get that Rollins isn’t great, the dude was a 264 career hitter, he should get a 95-97

Had no idea it was this low but then again we know SDS isn't into making cards and ratings like they should be.

Just now getting LS Trout and played with him tonight. 54 vision?m??? Get outta here SDS, he's a career .305 hitter!!!

Trout strikes out 120 plus times a year. Old time players hated striking out as there was an emphasis on that particular stat which doesn't get used today.

I know I’ll get banned for this but just wanted to say I’m glad they’re not playing sports. I hope they keep up the boycott honestly. It’s going to hurt the pockets of the people that need to feel it the most. I love sports but right now I DO see how it takes away from what’s actually going on in the world with racial and social injustice. It’s not a good distraction anymore, for me anyway. Just doesn’t feel right enjoying it. Peace and love guys stay safe

I get your sentiment but protesting themselves isn't going to do anything. It's not a real protest. As soon as they were told they would lose money they came right back. If the athletes wanted real change then they would do ride along with officers and make suggestions on police reform. All sides of the arguments are in favor of police reform. They used to do this until the ride along's starting changing the minds of the people doing the protests. Anyways i get where you are coming from but don't agree with your overall premise.

I hear you man. Definitely seems like an insurmountable task and if money is at the forefront than thats on players. How BIG of a statement would it be for say Patrick Mahomes to cut his check up and say no thanks guys im good. I cant play ball while their unrest in my community. And for people to think he wont make millions without football is just silly. He will be fine

You picked the one who could make millions of sj causes. What about the lineman? What about the practice squad guy? what about the security guards at the games? what about the tv people? what about the camera operators? How do the subsidize their livings? Either way, you are missing my point. These athletes aren't wanting change. IF they did then they would do something that would facilitate change. People have tried to get them to have input on the issues that they claim to be about and they don't do it. That is why i mentioned ride alongs with police. They would rather have a viral moment instead. And again protesting themselves would never do anything because again they are only hurting all of those other people...

I get your point but if the foundation is flawed to begin with and is the problem then all parties need to separate themselves from it. TV people can go in to other media outlets, body guards can body guard something else. Lineman can get jobs as trainers or a long list i dont feel like writing, practice squad guys will have to adapt to the world and pursue another career. If your going to continue to take "the mans" money then you dont have the right to complain. Again who in their right mind thinks Patrick Mahomes is worth 500 million dollars with all this stuff thats going on in the world

so you are saying they shouldn't have the right to make a living doing what they have worked their whole lives to do ? their dreams should be crushed for sj causes? again the causes that will never be addressed because that is how people make money. Do you honestly think the likes of shaun king would ever be satisfied? That is how they make their money.... anyways gotta go...

Events or RS? Hall of fame or all star?

Ripken and cano are definitely usable on the higher levels. I play on hof and legend and they start for me. Griffey, i haven't used but i need the biggest pci I can get and cano is about the threshhold for me. I just don't see anyone using him on the higher ranks with any consistency.

You don't see anyone using who in the higher levels? Griffey or Cano?

griffey. Cano will be most peoples second basemen if they don't like sanberg or biggio. Griffey won't make the outfield as most will have mantle, walker, and then a few guys at the the third outfield spot(springer, davis, dawson, beli)with griffey not being one of them. I am sure people with stubs will try him but he won't be in most games imo. He is a really bad card due to the contact rating.

If it is jeter then they would have to give him incredibly unrealistic stats for anyone to do the set. I think it's arod. Everyone would want that card and it's pretty obvious that arod will be one of the steroid guys who actually gets in the game and I also think he will be the first to get in hof.

Aaron is a huge name but not a name that will get young kids excited so it definitely could be him. I think arod and stocker are also strong possibilities.

As for Musials speed, he played in ballparks that were much larger than what we see in today’s game. Many of these ballparks had enormous outfields (power ally’s that were 400 plus, center fields that were 450 plus. Yet the lines were 270. That was the beauty of these ballparks, how asymmetrical they were. So Musial just exploited the dimensions of many of these ballparks to his benefit. So quit whining about something as superfluous as Musials speed attribute.

All people can do is hurl insults and try to silence people from voicing legitimate criticisms by making appeals to some sort of macho idea of “not whining.” It isn’t whining to want to know how they came up with the speed attribute.

And by the way, Musial played half his games at Sportsman Park. That park was not big at all.

Go grunt on another thread, tough guy.

Tough guy??? Who the efff are you??? I didn’t make any threatening remarks and yet you respond like that. I simply pointed out facts and I never called anybody a name. Whether you want to believe the facts (ball parks during his era were larger and far more asymmetrical than current ones, that is a fact) is on you. How about you actually do your research before actually attacking others. And sportsman’s park was 420 to centerfield for your information. A slow catcher could get a triple to that part of the ballpark. So shut your whining mouth kid.

Now I’m scared. At first I thought you chose your own profile name but now I realize it was a title you have earned.

    Lol.

    Beat it, kid.

Yep that’s the response I expect from people like you. When others present facts to someone like you, you just try to yell over the top of them and call them names and continue screaming. Please cry some more while I laugh at the absolute absurdity of this troll post.

All the while you've dodged actual fact driven posts for the sake of carrying on some personal vendetta out of spite.

Presenting the use of facts, without actually presenting any, does not bode well for increasing the appearance of one's intelligence.

The hill you want to die on (Stadium Size) actually hurts your argument that Stan should be slower. All these legends older than Stan played in parks the same size or bigger 🤣

    https://www.ballparksofbaseball.com/ballparks/crosley-field/

Here are some facts on classic ball parks. You’ll see that sizes of ball parks prior to the cookie cutters of the 70’s and 80’s and current stadiums pale in comparison. And due to the asymmetrical nature of these stadiums it made for some interesting hitting situations. The only stadium that has a comparable centerfield to many of the classic stadiums is Comerica in Detroit (420 to dead center) and AT&T in San Francisco (421 to triples ally right center field gap)

You're dense and I can see that. Let's take this slowly here. If Stan Musial has similar stats to Ruth, Gehrig, and Foxx while playing in similarly sized stadiums, how does Musial have 50 speed and the others are over 60?

I guess you have zero understanding of analytics so I will no longer respond to your ignorance. Have a nice day complaining about a video game that slights a player that you believe is some sort of sneaky speed demon. Lol

Musial was faster than babe and all those guys by quite a bit yet he is slower than babe and foxx in game. From what i can tell is that you are trying to compare it to today's players by comparing stadiums but musial isn't faster than today's players. I don't anyone thinks he is as fast as a mookie betts or a trout but again he is faster than ruth. His speed should be higher. How they figure old time guys speed is a mystery that probably should be explained.

@maurice91932 said in So Verlander’s attributes were changed, huh?:

    Pretty weak.

I think I proved that Stan Musial should have a higher speed attribute. My guy has more triples than anyone born in the 20th century. The only people with more triples than Stan are guys that played on fields with no fences. Then SDS disrespects him with 47 speed. Not even fast enough to hit a triple in any park but Polo. Lol

People said triples and stolen bases weren’t really about speed, though. Ummm, okay....

Then Mookie steals a few bases in the post season, and he goes from 62 speed to 72 speed for his Finest card (75 after prestige).

Now JV had less than top notch velo and people complained so SDS changed it.

    Whack. No consistency.

If you could get Stan musials son to publicly complain via twitter and @ sds then you might have a chance. However reality is your just a plebeian to them and you don’t really matter. Not saying I agree but that’s the difference, Verls bro posting on Twitter is the only reason it was changed not the 100 posts on tsn or all the complaints on their social media accounts

This right here. Sds wants to please public figures more than make changes bc of the community. Honestly things like the fielding and increased exit velo probably wouldn’t have been improved nearly as much if it wasn’t for sds listening to the content creators, this just seems to be the way it is more than not.

well yeah welcome to corporate America. Look at everything sds does. It caters to whomever will give them bad publicity. A big content creator would fit that bill. Percieved twitter mob would also be enough. That means bots would have to be involved.

No and anyone saying yes just doesn't hit with fox. The defense is barely noticeable as you may give up an extra base runner ever 5 to 10 games. Hitting wise tho will be night and day unless you play on all star and then disregard everything i said and play either as they are probably the same card.

The majority of the pitching I'm facing is righties, and against lefties Perez hits enough singles and gappers tp be ok. he has thrown way more runners out as well as had way fewer past balls. As I a mable to strike more guys out on HOF blocking does matter more to me anyway for those hard breaking balls in the dirt tunneled off low fastballs.

I probably will toss Foxx back in and use him some more, but I hit well with both and now play mostly on HOF.

I just don't have those problems. Foxx throws about half the runners out but i vary my movement. Foxx does have passed balls but again it's only one per every 5 to 10 games. I do think perez is a beast on all star but fox is way better on hof and legend.

You are lucky then. Foxx compared to Perez defensively is a very noticeable difference IMO. And Perez is just as good on HOF and legend as Foxx is against righties. I don’t think I’ve faced a lefty besides Kershaw, Paxton, Chapman, Crochet, and Hand in quite some time. Foxx is one of my favorite cards in the game but I can’t justify playing him at Catcher over Perez. If you really want Bellinger, Babe or Gehrig at 1st then Foxx can go behind the dish(although he isn’t bad at 3rd either), but Perez is more than worthy of being an endgame catcher

I think fox's swing is better than perez. I actually like j.t better swing wise than perez. Again i don't notice the defense and the swing difference on hof is noticeable to me. Babe >>>> than perez too so i can't move him there. I may try him at third but machado is a beast too..

Yeah I f’n suck with Machado. I’m probably going to play Bellinger at first, Perez at Catcher, and Foxx at 3rd tbh. I think Perez has one of the best swings in the game(although not as good as Foxx). Swings are all personal opinion anyway

Machado is as good as babe is for me. He is one of the cards that gets rewarded for late side of good. My problem is his defense. He has diamond defense but he moves in mud. Jose played a better third base than he does which just shouldn't happen.

I faced Kluber the other day on HOF and I still had a hard time against him because my opponent knew how to pitch with him. That's what it's all about with Kluber, if you can mix your sinkers, cutters and slurves in different locations and while tunneling them, he is definitely still a top pitcher in the game. Most guys don't do this though and just spam the high sinkers with the occasional cutter or slurve on the outer part of the plate and in that case, yes, he is easy to hit.

I don't have any problems seeing his pitches anymore and his pitch speeds are not as drastic as the finest cards. I would much rather see him than any of those guys. In my opinion; he isn't a top 5 pitcher anymore.

I really hope he doesn’t have outlier sinker. That pitch is awful. And @bwheel1977 this is technically the united states of baseball event, likely West, Central, then East (Wander or Adley as the last reward). In no world is Verlander getting an Astros card that isn’t live series anyway

why wouldn't he get an astros card? They could give him the cy young card from last year like trout got.

Because Verlander has never gotten an Astros card and if he got a Cy Young Card it would be based on 2011

I disagree. He never had a reason to get an astros card until last year. I think the Jake card will be better so it doesn't really matter to me but i don't think your debate or argument really holds water as they could literally give him either year.
