So in those last two bronze/silver Yankee packs you get for the Granderson mission, three out of the four bronze I pulled were Luis Cessa and two of the silver were Aaron Hicks. Giving us multiple copies of "no sell" cards is the ultimate slap in the face and indefensible.
Let me preface this by saying I do have perspective as to what truly matters in this world. As a husband and father I put my family's health and well-being above all.
Now, like most everyone who loves baseball, whether it's a way of life for you or simply a distraction to get away from things that might get us down or stress us out, the news that the sports world is grinding to a halt has me equal parts frustrated, sad, and angry.
While I put in over 600 offline hours in The Show 19, I couldn't be more ready for this to drop tonight to give me something fresh to dive into. I'm going to miss the rest of spring training and am expecting the regular season to be pushed back for who knows how long, but The Show 20 is going to help me get through this for sure.

There's a lot of us. Trust me. I get a lot out of playing only the A.I. I get nothing out of playing a human. Mainly because when i started gaming, there was no online, until Sega's NFL 2K came along.

Amen to this. Online is for suckers. When 95% of a game's issues are attributed to how it plays online, I'm not about to put myself through that.

I do actually but enjoy DD more. And at last check Moments, Showdown, and Conquest were all offline modes and key to getting some of the better cards in the game. Overall I think SDS does an almost decent job of trying to balance online rewards and offline rewards but no card should ever be exclusive to online accomplishments. I think they're onto something with prestiging a player and THAT should be the reward for playing online. Give everyone equal access to every card whether they want to earn it online or off.
Per their FB post. Pretty awesome if you ask me!
5 random cards per pack and you get to pick one.
Non-sellable is fine as exchanging is more important at this point IMO.
It's definitely Votto. The one guy was wearing his jersey during the stream and right at the end they referenced it as a big clue about the upcoming program and they all started laughing so it was a big giveaway.
Pretty safe to say with SDS giving out 99s like candy that both Seager and Arozarena are guaranteed to get one next week.
While I'm disappointed this means he won't be on the cover next year, that card is absolute fire and I will have him as soon as humanly possible!
It sucks but what do you suggest? There would be an awful lot of kids unplugging PS4s if that were the case. I had a genuine internet issue with my provider that kicked me off once but they have absolutely no way of knowing what caused the disconnect.

99 Soto for WAS would be surprising. He already has a FOTF card for WAS.
And? They gave Posey a FOTF and a 99 right out of the gate so having a FOTF means nothing especially considering you're looking at a 10 point difference.
I still think it has to be Soto. I'm sure the cover deal was worked out long before the World Series so unless by chance they already we're going with him I don't think anything would have changed. I do think if it's not Soto it's him though. But only because Bueller got a 99 lol
I echo the sentiments of fellow offline players that I have played though this many, many times.
On a related note, you guys know that you can keep adding reinforcements to the same spot to keep increasing the number right? Basically reinforce then skip through move, attack, and steal and then rinse/repeat. That way you can play at whatever level you want if you do that enough.
I just think it means there won't be a choice at 300 stars and the reward will be a stud everyone wants therefore not making you have to pick.
Since it only goes to 50 would we be banking points for anything we go over? Also the 15 point collection won't trigger for me so not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Anyone else?
@MarinerMatt01 said in What happened with a commemorative Joe Morgan card?:
I think stage 4 of team affinities will be “Franchise all time greats” and Morgan will be for the Reds
Yeah I can't see that happening. While I think it would be asinine for it to be Finest given how they were handled in years past, that seems to be the best theory so far.

@chriscolbert said in Why isn’t there Offline stat missions to get prestige?: As an offline only player I would be fine if they made prestiging players the ONLY perk to playing online. That's the only place those cards would be desirable anyway. My prestiged Posey has pretty much treated me the same in all the offline modes as the non-prestiged one. We simply don't need prestiged cards against the CPU. Make all cards available to offline players in some capacity and let the online players have the ability to prestige them all via online stats. Simple solution and everyone wins. What card is locked behind offline play? WS, BR, and Events cards don't count because they are purchasable with stubs. What non-sellable card is only available online besides prestige? And if you are referencing the above cards, are you saying just remove all online rewards? Because that is what essentially what will happen, if they give any card a way to get it offline, then that's going to be easier than doing online, and then events, BR etc all lose any meaning. TL:DR, never gonna happen. There are cards locked behind OFFLINE play only, but no cards locked behind online besides prestige.

Yeah I guess I should have clarified that there be a way to earn all cards offline, not just buy them. I realize it won't happen because they have sold out to the online players which is really too bad. They can continue to have rewards but just give those that despise online play for the cesspool that is a way to get them too. Obviously I don't know exactly what that should look like but making all cards earnable shouldn't water down online play for those that enjoy it.
