Outfielders still not locking onto balls. Fielders running full speed at balls to the enter into a give up and stumble animation. Get your act together man, this just isn't fun.
Still waiting for usable cards from some of the best legends and LS players. Yet again here we are with a 21 year old Cristian Pache who hasn't stepped foot in a MLB Ballpark getting a 98 overall card.
I seem to remember a certain Braves CF who was already in the MLB at 19 and winning GG awards by the time he turned 21. You know the same guy who didn't get a card until the end of last year's game cycle.
We need to ramp up the content concerning the players everyone would like to use ️
With the implementation of the three batter minimum rule it seems awfully counterintuitive to start relief pitchers with less than 100% stamina and have them deplete as quick as they do.
I'm sure these professional pitchers will adapt to the rule and have the stamina necessary to remain effective.
Let's throw them a bone SDS and give them the benefit of the doubt.
#MakeRPGreatAgain
I'm in the lane of why does Cristian Pache have two cards better than Andruw Jones lmao.
You can't tell me a Signature Series Tom Glavine card will have the same overall as a John Lester card from last year.
Two time CY winner, WS MVP, and first ballot HOFer. Far better career and peak numbers than Lester.
YOU HAVE FS PITCHERS RATED HIGHER THAN TOM GLAVINE... GTFOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You figured out a way to make Adam Jones a 96, work your magic SDS and fix this travesty, or remove the HR display ️
The RNG results windows are to high. My personal favorite is a ball completely in the top portion of the PCI with good timing can be anything from a pop up to the C to a HR.
Fielding is terrible, late jammed hits every where, RP can't be warmed up consistently and get shelled.
This game is a hot mess with a HR display more durable than Michael Myers.
Can we address pitching at all? There are far more concerns in this area with RP stamina and effectiveness, SP constantly coming out of the pen, poor pitch location on good input, strike zone is too hitter friendly.
Pitching issues have been long been addressed on here as well as fielding issues. Pitching has yet to see any adjustments.
I really don't want to play MLB 18 all over again ️
I went fishing, caught a Trout ️
Are you still working on it? It's the most frustrating part about the game and was addressed in a patch once but is not close to being fixed.
Hitting and pitching go both ways and I can live with that. The fielding issues, animation locks into errors, throwing meter bugs, etc. are deciding games in unfair ways that don't represent baseball.
I and most everyone else just want to know if this is going to stay this way or are there improvements being worked on. I don't have much more patience to continue to play this game in h2h modes, nor will I continue to play if there aren't any changes in the works.

Last time there was a Show game released after March was in 2014. On 11/4/2013 they confirmed MLB The Show 14 was to be released on 4/1/2014 and PS4 version was coming in May. They waited until 2/13/2014 to confirm the game fact sheet and the PS4 release date of 5/6/2020.
At least then we knew in November the next gen console was going to be late. It's January 14th, 2021 and we know nothing ️
Everyone is going to sell Enos, more people are holding Braun.
I wouldn't be surprised at all. 2k basically pulled the plug on their WWE game for 2021 and aren't expected to drop another until later this year/2022.
The game has become boring for me. There are so many animations in the game that have been there so long. The commentary is already boring. The gameplay has gotten so inconsistent and confusing. It's been the same cycle for multiple years. Drop a new one, patch it to heII, then drop a new one next year and repeat.
I'm very skeptical if they can go next gen, let alone to new platforms. I'm going to be very wary of preordering anything.

BUT, I would say he has a better chance going there than the Cubs

Depends on how long Bauer wants a deal for. Only thing CHW have to manage is balancing out when their young core guys will need to get paid.

@Chuck_Dizzle29 said in So we’re just doing away with attributes now?: @Oachs83 said in So we’re just doing away with attributes now?: You are also ignoring the fact half my argument is an extra step on a breaking ball and no slide step by the pitcher. A pitch in the 80’s or 70’s. Not a 95mph FB. I will give accuracy if it’s perfect and we’re assuming it’s perfect in this situation. We don’t know how SDS calculates perfect throws and I agree the meter should be harder to nail but his arm strength is his arm strength. If this was a conversation about a runner with no extra step, slide step, FB thrown it wouldn’t be an issue. You can’t tell me that noodle arm will throw a 99/99 runner with an extra step on a breaking pitch l and no slide step with a straight face. Did you notice if your runner got a bad jump by chance? In the exact scenario you've described I've noticed a lot of poor jumps by the runner which negate the extra step. A terrible jump animation is a death sentence. I thought my Lou Brick was broken for a long time because he would wait until the pitcher was about to release the ball before running. In all honesty I can’t tell you how good the jump was. It happened three times to me twice in one game. I would hope an extra step with the runner with no slide step by the pitcher and a breaking ball being thrown would negate a bad jump but who knows? I know I sound like a broken record but I feel it’s important to bring up that nothing was done to try to combat my runner. An extra step was allowed, no slide step was being used and a pitch you want to run on was thrown. That’s a lot of my gripe. Tools are there to throw a runner out but none were used yet the game still gave my opponent the out despite him doing nothing about it. If you are not going to be paying any attention to a base runner you should be ran all over until you smarten up and do the things to stop it.

I get what you are saying for sure. The one thing no one controls though is when the runner will break, unless you preload the steal and hold the button down. That only allows you to control of you steal before the pitcher starts his motion though.
When I was struggling with Lou, I started trying to do that where I'd hold l2 and time the release to influence a good jump. Even when I would let go a little early sometimes he'd still get a terrible jump.
What I gathered from my attempts at various methods is nothing is really helpful. I've had the most success preloading the steal without holding the button and then smashing L1 like a mad man going for a good jump. Does it really work ️ but I'm superstitious like that lol.
This seems to be a correction on SDS end to circumvent rampant stealing that was a problem in previous years.
Bauer was very good in 2020, but I think some context needs to be applied here. Bauer only had 11 starts in 2020. When you break down who he pitched against only his 2 starts vs the Cubs and 1 vs CHW came against winning teams. 3 against Milwaukee, 2 against Pittsburgh, 1 against Kansas City, 2 against Detroit.
Only once has he eclipsed 200 innings {2019 which was not a good year). He's only had one season below a 4 ERA (2018). His FIP was not much better either.
You have a guy with one great season and 11 recent starts. He's talking about trying to pitch every forth day. He's also drastically increased his spin rate on several of his pitches to best in the league, something he said couldn't be done through natural means.
It begs the question of what will you be getting it you sign him to a long term deal and for a lot of money.
