[censored] you! I bought that pack because of this post. Got Whitley (over Bart) sold him fast, $5k loss. LOL.

You should wait until the market go back to normal... Now is too late.

Yeah, I was worried about it falling lower and just trying to cut my losses. I am 1 card (Arenado) away from Mantle and have been scraping my stubs together. Got up to 75k before this flash sale. We'll see where I'm at after all 4.

I would say instead of buying the packs, put in some buy orders for some of the prospects and wait till later tonight/tomorrow to sell. You could easily turn the 75k into 95k pretty quickly

RE: Buy Trout now or wait?

Just remember, his card is going to stay around that price probably for a while. Even when this stub sale ends, you have the live series event 2 days after. He is going to be the best card in that event so that alone could keep his price where it is at or possibly higher.

Snell only costs roughly 30k after collections. Do the moments plus collection and innings, you will get a semi final card to sell back for 30k. You will also get 9ish packs and balln is a habit. Not to bad imo

Pretty sure your math is way off. You get three cards for free, two of the quarter finals and one semi final. You still need to buy the other two quarter final cards and the other two semi final cards. That is approximately 75,000 stubs currently, and you won't be able to sell any of them. I do agree that the BIAH packs make this a little more worth while, and I'd definitely do it if it was closer to 50,000 stubs. But, 75,000k for what would be my fifth starter seems crazy. I mean, he'll be the first card to go once a better starter comes along.

No his math is all good, if you think about it in that perspective of just cost and not possible profit. All 6 of the cards youd end up collecting would cost around 90k. However you get two of the 85-86 for free and a 89-90 for free...so let's say you went out and bought all the cards, that costs you 85k. Then by completing the collection and finishing the program off, you get 2 of (7k each) 85-86 back, and a 89-90 (30k)... That brings the cost down to under 50k and that's not including stubs you get and the 6 standard packs + ballin is a habit pack...she at the end with shitty pulls costs about 40k

RE: Can we re-work the "outlier" perk

Now how low would you drop his minimum fastball to? Because if he was throwing that fastball anywhere between say 97-102 like real life, thats gonna be possibly harder to hit in this game in my opinion. Fastballs/sinkers are way too fast in this game but I would rather sit on a fastball at 102 than see 98 70% of the pitches then all of a sudden see 102. Obviously its much more realistic, but I personally would have a harder time with that in this game

Check their history, lots of diamonds are rebounding from being depressed by the flash sale diamond pack on Friday. Are they appreciating? Or rebounding?

No they've been 100k since before the flash sales. I'm not talking about the cheap live series like the 85-88
More stubs people have = more demand for higher overall cards...trout, arenado, etc. all are difficult to get and people are collecting them for mantle so that takes them completely off the market as then they are non sellable...they are being bought faster than they are being pulled.

    RE: Flash Sale

I would expect a stub sale before another flash sale...that last flash sale was to just bring down the price of the prospects...and hate to say it, but the live series (at least the top tier ones) will probably keep going up. Wouldn’t shock me to see trout up around 350 in a week or two.

I have blood diamond Oswalt I can confirm that 93 Oswalt is LOCKED IN CANT SELL

Go look at the pictures man, idk what happened, but it happened.

I collected all 3 about a week ago (snider, Helton, Oswalt), just completed the Oswalt missions, sold his 93 as well. Snider and Helton I also sold because I only bought them for the 1000 stubs you get for "collecting" them. No idea if its still a thing, but just letting you know he's not trying to scum ya, it is/was a thing

RE: Prestige Oswalt vs Prestige Helton

If you are gonna spend 30k on a 1st basemen, just do the pirates affinity...Josh bell plays better than the helton and hes a switch

    RE: Exchange question

I was not able to exchange the players from the collections...so I don't know what the person above did, but if you do end up doing the collections, lmk if you have success exchanging.

RE: Need a new lead off hitter

Yoan Moncada through the team affinity has be very good. Doesn't have the top end speed you may want, but he hits everything.
