It's a great addition to the game, and I'm glad it's there. Most of us play with the strike zone camera, and we can't actually see the no doubt animation. SDS did a fantastic job of capturing these, and I enjoy seeing them.
While we can all agree that no game is perfect, I think we need to give the game props where it's due.
I absolutely love the fact that no two cards play the same in this game. You can look at attributes, ask other people for opinions, watch reviews on youtube, but until you get the cards and use them, you really don't know how they will play.
Every card is unique, and attributes are only a small part of the performance of the cards.
If you've ever played other sports video games you can appreciate how incredibly difficult that is. SDS doesn't do a skin change on players, they design each player from the ground up, and the result is an unprecedented amount of diversity in gameplay and lineup builds.
Those guys better be careful, more than 15 HR before the trade deadline, they'll be shipped out for a box of pizza and a small pepsi.
gold to diamond is indeed an evolution. Additionally, you get two diamond equipment items, a ballin is a habit pack, and show packs/stubs/XP.
its all free....IT IS ALL FREE.
Rain increases lag if you're the away team? Thanks for the tip, turning rain on for now on! You the man.
@GradektheBard said in SDS, Time to Admit Online Only Prestige Was a Mistake:
It is time for SDS to admit that having the prestige grinds be online only was a big mistake and move them to any mode (ie offline included) within the next update or two. The prestige grind has completely ruined events with a huge swath of people playing just for prestige (ie hitting and quitting, pitching and quitting, or just outright asking for stats), which has taken the fun out of events and made them into nothing more than grinding opportunities. The idea that it takes more skill and/or time to prestige a card online went out the window as soon as these cards were included in events and thus allowing people who prefer to play offline wouldn’t change any dynamic in the prestige process other than to clean up events AND likely make a ton of their customers very happy. Forcing people to play online to prestige cards didn’t work and it’s past time to rectify this mistake and move all these grinds to any mode.

I never see quitting on me as a bad thing, unless you're using events to simply grind prestige too? I play events for wins and rewards. People quitting gets me there quicker.
I don't know why anyone cares about RS record, unless you are wanting to make WS and good enough to do it. That's not me, I play for fun, and playing other people is more fun than playing the CPU.
I understand SDS saw an issue and rushed to fix it, but they are fixing the wrong problem. The issue is the strike zone. Strikes on the corners are consistently called balls when they aren't. That is forcing pitchers into bad counts, and forcing us to put the ball more over the plate. Fix the strike zone issue, return hitting to where it was, and you'll see things even out.

@lucas8181 said in Any idea on PS4 to ps5: You won't get a "true" next gen game until they phase out production for ps4 games. Until then, you will get an upscaled version of the ps4 game (similar to ps4 to ps4 pro). It's never worth getting the new console until they start making the majority of the games next generation console only (usually year 3). But to answer your question, they will drop at the same time. It will be the same game. That’s just not true. 2K was able to offer a complete gameplay rebuild that is different between the PS4 and the PS5. No reason SDS can’t do the same.

I'm sorry you actually think it's "different". In any event, they did release at different times because it came out before next gen. You don't have to convince yourself that you messed up paying double retail for your ps5. Enjoy it, enjoy the ps4 games on a newer looking device.
96 Blackmon has the sweetest swing outside of Griffey in the game.
Cutch is great.
Lou Brock is Cobb, but better.
Panda is great, especially with catcher secondary.

@ComebackLogic said in Doesn’t look good guys: I’m thinking that ‘21 may be an update DLC for owners of ‘20 that brings new card art, rosters and content via a patch that costs around half of the base game. If released as a standalone title on PS4 and on other platforms, you’ll get ‘20 with the ‘21 updates preinstalled over the base game of ‘20 and pay full price. This will save a lot of work, allow for improvements to be made to the existing product and give them an extra year to think about a full rebuild. Plus it’s an entirely new game for non PS4 owners. Digital delivery is the future of gaming, music and any downloadable product (well, it’s the present, but you get my drift), with physical discs and so on rapidly being phased out of existence, so to make a base game at AAA price and keep it current with yearly updates makes sense, particularly when they blatantly sell us the same game with updated rosters etc every year anyway. Why not admit that, own it and utilise it? https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/866/838/cdc.jpg

a TON of companies/games do this. Overwatch hasn't had a "new game" since launch, yet they do massive updates regularly.
Rainbow Six Siege has had several patches that overhaul graphics, gameplay, and content. Yes, they've updated graphics and textures through patches. (Sorry COD fans, they don't have to release a new game every year, they just love your cash).
Just because other sports games want your $60 every year, it doesn't mean that games can't and don't do it this way.
Maybe, it's just you? I know that Wal-Mart wifi is free...but....
I quit often. I have fiber, I'm hardwired into the ps5, I try to only play home games.
Still, it's beyond obvious when the lag is too much to deal with. This includes timing windows, PCI placement, and pitch timing (Meter, analog, pulse, doesn't matter).
This late in the year, who cares. I want to have a fun game, not sweat through 9 innings of BS to win by 1 run on an error that should have never happened.
@HuntyDad2021 said in Frustrating packs:
@the_dragon1012 Well, if that is the way it is, I say it's kinda dumb. If you are to pick two of the five, why wouldn't they just give you one pack and provide two choices?
Because you need to level all the way up to get all the cards? The game has always been that way. This is like asking why you don't get all the guns after hitting Level 5 in COD. I don't understand, is this your first video game ever?

Imagine banging out 40 six inning event games in 7 days for a 1B bat that isn't even top 5 with just 12 weeks to go before the game is wrapped up. F in the chat.
I hear you, but if you think 2021 comes out in 12 weeks, you're going to be seriously disappointed.
They haven't even released the cover athlete yet, or started taking pre-orders.
If it's out before the end of April I'll be shocked.
Hop on twitter and grab the map rewards from Jpro. each map has a prospect choice pack, so there's a minimum of 150K stubs. There are also lots of Ballin packs and standard packs.
Sell the prospects, collect them for Trout, exchange them, lots of options there worth looking into.
Also, stage 4 Showdown is super easy and fun. Get to stage 4, then finish it off quickly with showdowns.
