Is absolutely horrible imo. Game is very inconsistent. On center pci, sometimes it’s perfect perfect, sometimes it’s good/squared, and usually it’s good/good or good/okay. The hitting was really solid before the patch. If too many runs were being scored, make hitting more difficult by increasing the pitch speeds or fixing the pitching. Randomizing the hitting is not a good fix for too many runs being scored
Don’t even get me started on the timing window.. something’s off with it too

Win 12 games in a row
I used to frequently post, but haven’t been around here much at all lately. I have played this game a lot the past few years. There have been several times I’ve decided to quit the game, only to come back later because honestly the game can be addicting. Each year , I have been hopeful that the gameplay will improve. However, every year there are glaring issues that ruin gameplay, especially with the hitting.
These issues have stemmed from mlb 17 when ball physics was added. The obvious hitting issues from each year are:
17- late hits 18- extremely slow pitch speeds, early hits rewarded too much, balls in middle of pci resulting in pop ups 19- lineouts, bad exit velos on perfect pci 20- good/okay and good/good on perfect pci
Each year, I lose enthusiasm to play. And I’m at the end of the line here. The game just frustrates me too much, it’s not worth playing imo.
I have met a lot of cool people in this community and on here, which I am thankful for. Ik a lot of people don’t like these posts about people announcing their departure, so I’m sorry if you’re one of those people. Since I’ve been on here a lot in the past, I wanted to let everyone know what’s going on and why I won’t be here anymore. I wish everyone the best.
I might be back some day if SDS manages to fix the issues and improve the game, which I doubt will ever happen, but until then, so long.
The inner pci needs to represent the barrel of a bat. No more of this “it’s the batter’s eye” [censored]. Calling it that is SDS’s way of justifying bad exit velos on perfect pci placement. Until then, I have no reason to believe that SDS wants the game to have a large skill gap. Why change the hitting at launch? It was the best it’s ever been imo out of the mlb games I’ve played: 17,18,19, and 20. Leads me to believe that the current state of the game is exactly what SDS wants
If the pci represents “the batter’s eye” then why does it emulate a bat path by moving up on early swings and down on late swings?
In the handbook, br is described as “the most challenging and competitive game mode Diamond Dynasty has ever seen”. Seriously? That’s a major slap in the face to the top players that actually compete on the highest difficulty. That’s the actual comp, not 3 inning all star games.
The best word I can think of to describe AS difficulty is “mediocre”. AS difficulty generally seems to be hated by the majority of the community. The skill gap is greatly diminished on AS because of the massive PCI and slow pitch speeds. If they really want br to be “competitive” it would be at least HOF. Having it on AS makes br so luck oriented. It requires some level of luck to win 12 games in a row. But winning 12 games in a row on AS difficulty is more luck than skill in most cases.
Lmk your thoughts- ik id play br way more if it was on HOF. I think the mode has a lot of potential and it would be much more fun and challenging on hof rather than the most RNG based difficulty in the game.
Who wants to see me mercy this clown within 4 innings?
sitting at a cool 4.5k stubs
Most comp players play at June or July 1 pm bc it’s less laggy and the ball carries better

In your opinion. Let’s not state opinions as facts please. People would get mad if I said “mlb stadiums are trash” or “datepalm is trash” as if it’s factual.
@BboyzAT said in Thinking about doing Battle Royal or Events Online:
BR is definitely the most competitive mode because of matchmaking and unpredictability of AllStar difficulty/3inning games. If you have stubs to burn, it’s still fun to go and get use to online gameplay. Events to me are more fun due to ability to use your own collection with restrictions and free entries.
Most random, sure. Most competitive? Absolutely not. Ranked on HOF and legend is way more competitive bc the skill gap is way higher and you face good players most of the time

You are on point...There is a video out of Pitching Rebel going ballistic as he is playing a RA game at Poko in the rain. Literally cursing and yelling FU at the monitor after each of his hits, so yeah..,,, bottom line, both players are playing at the same park with the same good or bad results.

Sure, but parks like that minimize the skill gap, causing the outcome of the game to be much more random. That is where rebel’s frustration is coming from in that situation. He beats that guy 100% of the time at a good stadium (shippett, date palm, iron horse, etc)

That’s why I find it cringey. He was mocking shippett users which I don’t really appreciate. He made a video last year on shippett and that actually had valid points. I disagree with it on a competitive level, but I respect that bc there was actually good reasoning behind his points. In this video, he says something abt people telling him shippett rewards good input “100 percent of the time” which is quite an extreme exaggeration bc I’ve never heard anyone say anything like that. Most top players ik actually don’t love shippett, but think it’s the best option for a comp game. I’m not a top player, but I agree with that position. You need to watch the video again. He hits a ball with negative exit velocity which starts this rant. If anything, he is highlighting that shippet doesn't reward everything, while still remaining highly hitter friendly.

That point is very easily refutable tho.. not a strong argument at all imo. Cuz nobody says shippett rewards everything. Bad exit velos on good pci are an issue with the game and those are hits at shippett more than any other field. The one he hit was a track fly out and it wouldn’t have even been that at any other field. And there was one bad home run he showed, an early with bad pci, which would’ve been out at date palm too bc it was out by quite a lot at shippett. People greatly exaggerate the “bad home runs” at shippett.. they happen everywhere else too.
No way in hell. : )
