10 seconds into a RS game you experience a bad lag, request a friendly quit one pitch in and get denied.
Only for it to end up with 11 innings of maybe seeing 20-25% of the pitches somewhat effectively. Then somehow give up a run because my CF straight up froze and looked at the ball while 99 speed Ty Cobb is racing around the bases.
Then somehow get called out on a groundout when the first baseman was 20feet from the base. For me to lose, on another error this time the catcher who threw to first on his own (when no one was there.
I don’t mind losing if it was a mistake I made or if the person I was playing against was actually better than me, but that was the most messed up game I’ve played this year.

The ones that irritate me the most are in Ranked seasons... I had one guy do a double steal in the 8th— while leading 8-1.
Then I had another use his pitcher to bunt the runner over, leading 10-1 in the 7th.

I’ve bought The Show every year since the first one in 2006, it’s always been one of two purchases I make every year... I love it because it’s challenging in a fun way! Not to mention, usually a lot of good features are added each year which makes it worth it.
This year though I’ve almost thrown my controller at my TV more than I care to admit.
Hitting (especially in Diamond Dynasty) is a joke. The timing seems inconsistent, check swings are a joke! Literally see the same check swing glitch from 2016, barrel of the bat doesn’t even make it to a 45 degree angle and it’s still called a swing! The lag with online gameplay is ridiculous too, if the pitcher throws 98+ I have no chance whatsoever during some games because what seems like a fraction of a second timing window paired up with every pitch freezing after it leaves the pitchers hand... I sure as hell know it ain’t my internet either (I stream a lot on my PS4 as well).
Also, fielding annoys me to no end. On a soft liners over 2B/SS where they can run into shallow left/right to catch it... the controls instead automatically put it to the OF not even close to it. Makes no sense at all. The controls don’t seem intuitive at all.
It’s a shame too, because although a lot of what I described was mostly through DD, some of it is also throughout all modes including RTTS... which frustrates me too because it’s frustrating to only be able to hit .242 with all the perks and beefed up stats.
Even hitting perfect perfect does nothing, had one game where I had 3 perfect perfects.. all outs. Not rewarding at all.
