After I finished the player program figured what the heck. Played a RS game and threw him in center. I'm not a very good player mind you. Batted him second. Facing Hershiser I believe in the 3rd inning he hits a 2 run homer. In the 8th game tied 3-3 my opponent has runner on 3rd with 55 speed. He hits a fairly deep fly to right center. Laureano catches it and throws a strike to home nailing him at the plate. Game still tied in bottom of 12th I have a man on 2nd Laureano triples off the wall for a walk off win. He single handedly won the game with bat and glove. Was fun to use an obscure guy like that and have him perform. Give him a try.
Was flipping thru the channels and stumbled across the 1971 Allstar game. WOW...Clemente...Stargell...Bench..Marichal..Killebrew..Palmer...Brooks Robinson...Fergie Jenkins...Mickey Lolich...and alot more. What a blast watching these guys. Whole game on.
Too bad the mission wasnt to get 10 blown saves with Blake Treinen. I would of had those 20 stars pretty quick. LOL
Interesting fact about Stan Musial. In 1957 he became the first MLB player in history to have an annual salary of $100,000. In 1959 after a subpar season he went to the cardinals and asked them to cut his salary to $80,000. Imagine that happening today. Noway.
That extra pitch for Chapman is a knee buckling changeup. Very effective when people are sitting for that 102mph fastball.
For me that's alot of the fun of the game. Finding cards that work for you. As good as that Larry Walker card is I cant hit anything with him. I think that open stance throws me off. My favorite card so far is Dylan Carlson. Seem to have the most luck with him.
Played an event game againt....Give Trienen the save and I quit. I was like really? LOL
As much as I hate the showdown grind am I right that it's the most economical way to move thru team affinity? Even if you lose the final showdown you make stubs and xp. Please someone tell me if I'm wrong. The showdown grind wears me out. LOL
Brian Robert's not a top 10 2B? He's atleast top 5.
Now the 1975 Game is about to start. Just saw Greg Luzinski...Don Sutton..Steve Garvey. It's on Fox Sports.
Marichal and Burnett
Counting Tatis for august there are only 5 potm lightning cards.
My first year playing DD and question for some of you guys who have been playing multiple years. How long will we continue to get good content like we've been getting? And do alot of people stay and play until new release next year or is there a significant drop off when baseball season ends?
It's all over the board. I've seen people say you will need them all to just some and a combo of other cards. We wont know for sure until they drop the program tomorrow.
I have all of them but not locking them in until I see what the reward looks like. Do you guys think after the program drops tomorrow that the topps cards will go way up or drop? Just curious what you guys think.
When putting in a buy order can you request multiple at that price or do you have to place each one single?
Question for you guys who have played DD for a few years. My first year playing so not sure what to expect. What type of cards do you think they will be? Been grinding. Have half of the teams at 100%. Have heard people say they think they will be finest. What are finest cards? Do you think they will be sealable? Thanks for any info.
How many TN's do you guys think we will need?
Have always had bad luck with always pulling either low diamonds or no diamonds at all. Today my luck finally changed. Nothing great but pulled Gerrit Cole from a BIAH pack. Then pulled Arenado from flash sale. Then Hornsby from Beach Ball pack. Then another Arenado from TA Pack. Bad luck can change sometimes.
Dont have that Rickey card. I want it but last I checked it was about 280k.
