MLB The Show 18 says hi.
My thoughts are is that he is trash.
The dream would be Reggie Stocker smashing balls into the bay, but it aint going to be.
I admit it's frustrating, but the best players still seem to be the best players.

Maybe a combination of total stat grind like '18....one million base hits with right fielders and 500,000 saves with right handers. Good god those immortals were a grind.

I almost reported you for mentioning Immortals.
IF you can control his sinker, Brittan is nasty.
On HoF he's a must have. On A/S he's merely one of the best. I'd say it depends on how high up AS ranking you are. If low, agreee with post above. might be worth building elsewhere in your squad.
Pick him up if he fits. He's lethal against righties. worst case guaranteed bench bat with positional flexibility.
I actually kind of like when they just announce stuff at the last minute. Literally have no idea what is going to happen and I can just sit here dreaming of 99 Adley
Lefty is imo a top 5 pitcher in the game in HOF+. He's gotten so many Ks
I'd play just for replay packs tbh
I probably won't get one this year in the UK
Gavin Lux, Finest Anthony Santander are my two standouts.

@Ikasnu said in Do we really need multiple difficulty levels throughout ranked season?: Id rather the difficulty change be this. 1 standard speed among AS/HoF but a significant PCI size adjustment between the two. Reduce the HoF PCI by 60% of what the AS PCI is. Legend can add in a new pitch speed with the same HoF PCI size. I’d like to be able to test that out. I like the idea of consistent pitch speeds across AS and HOF. What do top level players think about there only being a pitch speed bump after 900? I assume that’s where Legend kicks in?

I personally think if there was a consistent pitch speed across AS and HOF it would have to set to the HOF speed otherwise pitching would get shelled.

@mrwonderful95 said in Do we really need multiple difficulty levels throughout ranked season?: Just a thought- if there was HOF WS, all star WS and Veteran WS, with rewards being commensurate with each difficulty, wouldn’t that satisfy the player base? One would argue that tiered difficulty plays to the elites. It’s almost impossible for someone of my age group to compete on HOF. I’m sure some have but I’m also sure many struggle simply due to the physical limitations that come with getting older. Let’s be real, baseball in 2021 is not a young mans sport. Many guys my age play the game. HOF is hard, however many people on HOF have a gaming monitor, play with an ethernet cable, and use a kontrol freek. I dont use a gaming monitor but I always wonder how much of a difference it truly does make. I heard it helps tremendously.

Playing on a monitor really does make a huge difference. It's night and day.
I mean is it a big problem as it is? I just wish when I was at 700 what difficulty I'll be playing on.
My experience is .. yes. Almost every game has been competitive for the last two seasons for me. Especially as the standard of pitchers has improved.
Mays is the best option to play. I have piazza raking off the bench as well. The rest are fun for having / breaking them out in the line up every now and again.
I haven't been able to beat Strike Zone. I'll try and move it around if there is a cheesy situation going on e.g. madden curveballs into a white sky at Angles Stadium, or Neshek at Statesman etc. I might have a play at the end of the year with high and 2 after reading this.
I mean if they are slide stepping all game it negates the advantage of ding it to 'quick pitch' and just makes it harder for them to control their pitches. So I'm all for it. It would be useful if starters could slide step for those tedious long at bats you get mainly in AS, where it is good to mix it up.
