Welcome to the Show!
I'll make you feel better! .178 in about 300 games. But I still enjoy the game and have fun... until I get pissed.
When are people going to understand that the Prestige Status has nothing to do with player skill and only represents game progress? I've gotten too many messages from Silver and Gold status players that are sooo excited telling me I'm trash and they can't believe how I am at a prestige status, and I'm better of killing myself...blah blah blah. I get it, most players are better than me...just let me have my dang fun.
That's the only reason I paused the game...I'm not doing it to annoy anyone, I gotta weak bladder!! I can see multiple pauses through a game, but for a 2 minute pee-pee! C'mon! Why can't I play against prestiged players?? I tried increasing the window, but I guess I'm not good enough to compete. I could care less if I lose...look at my darned record.
People grinded all year to get these Ruth and Trout cards only to get squashed by 1 game wonder pitchers and "future" stars with nerfed cards. Oh well!
Assigned to the Dodgers/Padres series . We should start wagering on how many blown calls he'll have.
I would also like to see a Phil Plantier. His sitting batting stance was his signature and those powerful uppercut swings. They were always great to watch.
Oh yeah, and get used to Good/Good, cuz that's the only feedback your going to see, and they are all outs unless they are Perfect/Perfect
Don't drink and Extreme at the same time. The ball just speeds up and comes in a little fuzzy.
When you can only locate pitches in the strike zone and every ball thrown in the dirt floats upstairs to the strike zone, straight to your sweet spot, you're gonna get dashboarded!! Sorry, but not sorry. Oh yeah, try to enjoy the win. GET OVER IT!!!!
Never mind. Restarted the app and it was there. Odd glitch though
Then you get the game summary not found because of a friendly quit? Anyone else experience that? That is bizzare.
When games are reported after a game has completed or you quit, I believe they will change a result after review. It takes a bit for them to review it so you usually won't know right away. I played a game the other night and the guy was skipping all over the screen towards the end and ended up coming back to beat me after all kinds of questionable laggy hits and perfect/perfect hits, as well as questionable plays (where the ball lands for a hit, you see all kinds of fielder skipping, then the next batter is their batter because a new inning started). I went from 632 to a 588 ranking. I reported then game for connection issues, woke up the next day and I was back at a 632 ranking. I did check the history and the game still reported it as a loss, but I think the final ruling was overturned.

@eatyum said in Events vs. RS: These are all just theories, but I would guess a combination of Even though they are 99 squads in events, a lot of people can't use their main ranked rotation, hitting 99 Gerrit Cole is so much easier than hitting 99 Sale or 99 Kersh. You play a wide variety of people, not people close to your ranked, you could be playing someone that just doesn't understand pitching and wouldn't even be near your rank if it was ranked seasons, so you tee off those guys. People don't care as much in events, I know I play more casually in events than I do ranked, ranked I am dialed in, events I play if I just want to sit back and play without worrying to much about losing. Again, I'm not saying those are the sole causes or anything, just a few things off the top of my head that are different. Eatyum captured some stuff pretty well, and i agree in general that it is much easier to hit in events than RS..... When I play events , I never use my prestige pitchers, or top pitchers...I am either trying to get guys prestiged, or trying out different guys to see if I should use them in RS ( and don’t worry if things don’t go my way)... Just today I was using Burnett as he is one of the last guys I have to prestige ...and he was getting hammered in the first....I looked at my bullpen to see who I dad in as I didn’t choose or change anyone but Burnett when I started and stuck Seaver in....game changed immediately.... I don’t think most people go all out in events, many are using only cards left to prestige, as well as not being as focused......especially at this point when most have all the rewards from the prior two events. Been some theories that SDS manipulated the sliders in these too, but who knows... coors event was absolute absurdity.

Let me guess...they hit every singly pitch that you threw out of the strike zone (no matter how far and fast it was and you could probably screen shot a few but didn't) and they hit it far! Just how??? Then every single swing you take has "Good" swing timing and is a pop fly or pop out. Welcome to The Show. Just remember this when 2021 comes out and you find yourself playin the same exact game you played in 2020 with just better graphic results.

@ThaGhettoBlasta said in This might be the worst check swing call I've ever seen...: This game has done some real stupid sht! From those kinds of check swings to twitch check swings being called strikes, to the center fielder cut off man being the first baseman, to pressing square to throw to third and the ball goes to first baseman...it's really becoming friggin asinine! With a guy on second and a clean single to center field, 1st basemen lines up between mound and second as the cut man......second base covers first. For a back pick.

This was a sac fly dude! 1 out, a runner a 3rd (28 speed) and fly out to deep center to Gold Griffey in BR (about 10 feet in front of the warning track). Over threw second and short when hitting R1 for the cutoff man. I don't use the throw meter so it's all up to RNG.
@pfcorporate said in Opponent Team Names:
Best one I saw was earlier in the year when there was mission for getting saves with Treinen. Let me get a save with treinen and I’ll quit.
LMAO
Some guy in the Event had a name "one win away from belli please quit"...so I quit just in case it was true.

Sometimes, you just gotta dashboard to save the controller! Thought I broke the PS4 last night by hitting eject 100 times out of anger. This game brings out the worse in people lol
Is Good swing timing on a swing and a miss with good PCI placement and Good swing timing resulting in an out 99.9 percent of the time it seems. Even if you switch to Directional Hitting (which leaves swing and contact results all up to RNG), you get the same results. Hitting is just not making sense. The only time you get a good hit is on an early or late swing. I just don't get it! Dafuq am I doing wrong???
